 Students whose finances have suddenly changed due to the disaster and who wish to apply for a scholarship can apply for a scholarship that covers sudden changes in family finances and a scholarship that covers emergency or emergency loans.

 With regard to support for students and others whose finances have suddenly changed due to the effects of the new coronavirus infection, the new system for supporting higher education (scholarships and tuition fee reduction/exemption), the system for supporting students attending high schools, and the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) loan-type scholarships provide emergency and emergency employment.

  • When there is a change of guardian due to marriage or its dissolution.
  • If there is a change in income due to an amendment of income tax return or correction of tax amount after Apr, Reiwa 2 year (2020).
  • Leave of absence or return to school.

The government’s new system of school support (for free higher education)

 The new system to support higher education is designed to provide tuition reduction and exemption as well as scholarships provided by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) to students who will advance to the fourth or fifth year of the main course or the first or second year of the major course in Reiwa 2 year (2020) or later and who meet the income requirements of their households.

 The Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology must confirm that universities and other institutions eligible for this support meet requirements such as the arrangement of class subjects by faculty members with work experience, etc. Our school has been certified as an institution eligible for this support.

 Specific application procedures will be posted on our website and bulletin board as soon as the details are finalized.
